The Toronto Blue Jays claimed right-hander Tyson Brummett off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies, reports Shi Davidi of Sportsnet:

Davidi adds that the move coupled with the additions of Corey Wade and Scott Cousins, who were claimed yesterday, fills the Blue Jays’ 40-man roster. He says the club has six players on the 60-day disabled list that will need spots next month.
Brummett made his major league debut with the Phillies last season. He appeared in one game in which he didn’t allow a run over two-thirds of an inning.
Brummett spent much of the year with the team’s Triple-A affiliate, posting an ERA of 3.62 over 34 appearances, including seven starts, spanning 72 innings. He also maintained an ERA of 1.50 over 10 appearances, including one start, for Philadelphia’s Double-A club.
Over six seasons in the minors Brummett has maintained an ERA of 4.52 with 6.6 strikeouts per nine innings and 2.8 walks per nine innings.
