Just hours after completing a deal for free-agent closer Ryan Madson, the Los Angeles Angels made it known they are shopping right-handed reliever Jordan Walden, reports Jayson Stark of ESPN:
In wake of Ryan Madson deal, #Angels were letting clubs know today that Jordan Walden is very available.

Walden, 25, has had a roller-coaster ride through roles in the Angels’ bullpen the last three seasons. After a promising showing in his first call-up at the end of 2010, the right-hander served as the club’s closer for most of the 2011 season -- earning an All-Star appearance in the process.
But Walden lost the role to Ernesto Frieri early this past year when he struggled out of the gate, and spent the rest of the season pitching the odd late inning.
Walden owns a solid 3.06 ERA and 10.8 K/9 rate in 123 appearances over the past three seasons, but has also walked 4.0 batters per nine in that span.
