Rosario has had quite the busy offseason for a pitcher that ended the 2012 season with an ERA of 18.00.
After spending his 2012 campaign with the Miami Marlins, Rosario was claimed off waivers by the Red Sox in Oct. Boston proceeded to trade him to the Oakland Athletics for a player to be named later, which turned out to be Graham Godfrey.
Oakland eventually designated Rosario for assignment, and he was once again selected off waivers by the Red Sox. Boston has once again decided to part ways with the right-hander and he’s now with the Cubs.
Last season Rosario allowed six runs on eight hits with no walks and two strikeouts over three innings for the Marlins. He also made 31 combined appearances for Miami’s high, Double- and Triple-A affiliates. The 27-year-old maintained an ERA of 1.99 over 31 2/3 innings with 8.2 strikeouts and 1.4 walks per nine innings and 17 saves.
