Milwaukee Brewers general manager Doug Melvin told Jim Bowden of MLB Network Radio that his club is interested in several free agent relievers, including Jon Rauch, Kyle Farnsworth, Mike Gonzalez and Jason Frasor:

The Brewers finished the 2012 season with the worst bullpen ERA in the majors at an ugly mark of 4.66. Milwaukee has several relievers, including Kameron Loe, Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Veras and Manny Parra, which have reached free agency so they certainly have a need in this area.

Rauch spent the 2012 season with the New York Mets. The 34-year-old right-hander maintained an ERA of 3.59 over 73 appearances spanning 57 2/3 innings. He owns a career ERA of 3.80 with 7.2 strikeouts and 2.7 walks per nine innings over 10 seasons at the major league level.

Frasor, 35, appeared in 50 games for the Toronto Blue Jays last season, posting an ERA of 4.12. Over nine seasons in the bigs the right-hander owns a career ERA of 3.77.

Farnsworth maintained an ERA of 4.00 over 34 appearances for the Tampa Bay Rays last season. The 36-year-old right-hander owns a career ERA of 4.24.

The lone lefty in the bunch, Gonzalez posted an ERA of 3.03 with the Washington Nationals in 2012. The 34-year-old has maintained an ERA of 2.94 over 10 seasons at the major league level.
