Angels rumors: Kendrys Morales 'most likely to go'

First baseman/designated hitter Kendrys Morales remains the most likely member of the Los Angeles Angels to be traded this winter.

First baseman/designated hitter Kendrys Morales remains the most likely member of the Los Angeles Angels to be traded this winter, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, who adds the Halos seek an innings eater in exchange for the slugger:

Rosenthal adds that Morales will not receive a qualifying offer as he is a free agent at the end of the 2013 season.

Following the Angels signing of free agent outfielder Josh Hamilton, it was reported that the club was planning on trading one of its extra bats, potentially including Morales, Peter Bourjos and Mark Trumbo.

While some believe that the Angels would be willing to trade any of the three if they receive the right offer, it appears that Morales is the most likely to be dealt at this point. The Los Angeles Dodgers would seem to be a potential fit, as they’ve been shopping veteran starting pitchers Chris Capuano and Aaron Harang since they added Zack Greinke.

Last season for the Angels Morales hit .273/.320/.467 with 26 doubles and 22 home runs over 484 at-bats.
