Hey guys, we've had a ton of content since the winter meetings, so it's easy to miss stuff. Here's the latest from the Tampa Bay Rays:
The Rays recently finalized their agreement with right-hander Roberto Hernandez, the pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona.
Prior to that free agent signing, Tampa Bay had done a majority of its offseason damage via the trade market. The Rays completed a mega-trade with the Royals, sending James Shields and Wade Davis to Kansas City in exchange for a bevy of prospects including outfielder Wil Myers.
We provided the pros and cons of the deal from the Rays’ perspective, and our readers voted on the winner and loser of the deal.
Beyond the trade with the Royals, the Rays also acquired Yunel Escobar from the Miami Marlins earlier this month.
Also, be sure to follow the Rays team stream for everything on the club!
