The Twins have been sellers thus far this off-season as they look to rebuild following a 66-96 season and the worst record in the American League.
That process began with the trade of Denard Span to the Nationals for pitching prospect Alex Meyer.
- They then moved Ben Revere in a deal with the Phillies that netted them pitcher Vance Worley and pitching prospect Trevor May.
- With some young pitching blood in the system from these trades, the Twins have focused on short-term, low risk deals for pitchers. They signed former Mets starter Mike Pelfrey to a one-year, $5.5M deal. They also added ex-Padre Kevin Correia on a two year, $10M deal.
- Finally, they took a flyer on Rich Harden, giving the oft-injury righty a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training.
- Brett Myers is also on their radar and the Twins would look to move him back to the rotation after he spent 2012 in the Astros and White Sox bullpen.
