Signings / Acquisitions

• The Twins signed setup man Jared Burton to a two year/$5.5M extension with a club option for $3.6M in 2013.
• The Twins traded away another piece of their 2012 outfield on Thursday, sending Ben Revere to the Phillies for pitching prospect Trevor May and starter Vance Worley

Ongoing Rumors

• The Tigers are looking for a new closer as they expect to part ways with their free agent closer Jose Valverde.
• The Indians have offered Kevin Youkilis a two year/$18M deal and he is deciding between rejoining mnager Terry Francona in Clevelandor taking a one year/$12M deal with the Yankees.
• The Indians are also pursuing Nick Swisher.
• The Royals are still looking for a front line starter and R.A. Dickey, Jon Lester, James Shields and Jeremy Hellickson are on their radar. Kansas City is not willing to send the Mets Wil Myers for Dickey, however.
• The White Sox have discussed deals for Dayan Viciedo and Alejandro De Aza recently and both could be available in trade.
• The Royals offered Ryan Dempster a two year/$26M deal only to have it rejected. The veteran righty is seeking three years at this point.
