Magglio Ordonez Not Interested in a Minor-League Deal

Danny Knobler of CBS Sports gives the latest on Magglio Ordonez, who has yet to sign with a team this offseason. Ordonez, 38, has said that he's not interested in signing a minor-league deal, and that the market has been tough for him. He confirms that the Oakland A's have shown interest, though given their crowded outfield picture right now, it seems unlikely that he'll sign there at this point. In any event, he's described their interest as "nothing concrete."

Things have been quiet on the Magglio Ordonez front all offseason long. That's not at all surprising, considering he hit .255/.303/.331 with just five homers in 357 plate appearances in 2011, and has been rehabbing from a fractured ankle.
