You Sure About That? MLBDD Week 7 Review

We get it -- everyone is busy. Hey, we are too! That's why we know it's easy to miss the many trades and transactions, extensions, moves, and everything in between (and that says nothing of the number of rumors flying past us).

So, just in case you missed something over the past week, here's a review of everything (non-rumor) we covered starting with the oldest first:

• Oakland Athletics To Sign Yoenis Cespedes - MLB Daily Dish
  According to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports, the Oakland Athletics have signed free agent Cuban outfielder Yoenis Cespedes.
• David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox Avoid Arbitration - MLB Daily Dish
  The Boston Red Sox and designated hitter David Ortiz have come to an agreement today to avoid arbitration, according to Buster Olney from ESPN. The deal is a one year agreement worth $14.75 million, the middle ground for what the two sides were fighting for.
• Blue Jays, Casey Janssen Avoid Arbitration - MLB Daily Dish
  The Toronto Blue Jays and reliever Casey Janssen are nearing a two-year deal with an option to successfully avoid salary arbitration, reports Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.

• Cleveland Indians to Sign Jon Garland - MLB Daily Dish
  The AP (via ESPN) reports that the Cleveland Indians have signed right handed pitcher Jon Garland. This morning it had been reported that the two sides had been nearing a deal, and he will take his physical in the Indians spring training complex in Arizona.
• White Sox Sign Kosuke Fukudome - MLB Daily Dish
  The Chicago White Sox have announced that they signed outfielder Kosuke Fukudome to a one year deal. Fukudome started his MLB career with the Chicago Cubs, and now he will play on the south side of town.
• Tampa Bay Rays Extend Joe Maddon - MLB Daily Dish
  The Tampa Bay Rays and manager Joe Maddon have agreed to terms on a contract extension that will keep arguably the best manager in baseball with the organization, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. An announcement is expected to come Wednesday.
• Milwaukee Brewers Beat Jose Veras in Arbitration - MLB Daily Dish
  Jon Heyman from CBS Sports is reporting that the Milwaukee Brewers have beaten relief pitcher in arbitration. Now Veras will make the $2 million that the Brewers offered for the 2012 season instead of the $2.37 million he requested.
• Baltimore Orioles Avoid Arbitration With Adam Jones - MLB Daily Dish
  It's a one-year deal worth $6.15 million that has another $50K Jones can earn through performance bonuses, Connolly adds. If Jones can trigger in the $50K, the two sides essentially agreed to the mid-point in their arbitration differences.
• Twins, Alexi Casilla Sign 1-Year, $1.4M Deal - MLB Daily Dish
  The Minnesota Twins have signed Alexi Casilla to a one-year deal for almost $1.4 million, according to Twins Communications Director Mike Herman (via Rhett Bollinger). The deal allows each side to avoid arbitration.
• Giants, Ramon Ortiz to Sign Deal - MLB Daily Dish
  The San Francisco Giants announced that they've invited right-handed pitcher Ramon Ortiz to spring training, which implies they've signed him to a minor league deal.
• Giants Re-sign Justin Christian - MLB Daily Dish
  Justin Christian, who was designated for assignment a week ago, cleared waivers today. According to numerous reports (and as confirmed by an official team announcement), the San Francisco Giants have now re-signed him to a minor-league contract, and he'll be a non-roster invitee at Spring Training.
• Boston Red Sox Sign Ross Ohlendorf - MLB Daily Dish
  The Boston Red Sox and Ross Ohlendorf have agreed to a minor league contract, according to MLBTR. The deal was first reported by MLB Network's Peter Gammons, and the Boston Globe's Peter Abraham confirmed that Ohlendorf is at Boston's camp in Fort Myers, Fla.
• Tampa Bay Rays Sign Chris Gimenez - MLB Daily Dish
  According to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune, the Tampa Bay Rays have signed free agent catcher Chris Gimenez to a minor league deal today. The Seattle Mariners designated Gimenez for assignment last week, and he soon elected free agency before the Rays picked him up.
• Tim Wakefield to Announce Retirement - MLB Daily Dish
  The Boston Red Sox have announced that long time starting pitcher Tim Wakefield will announce his retirement in Fort Myers later today. The knuckle baller has been considering this decision for a while this off season.
• Hideki Okajima Fails Physical With Yankees - MLB Daily Dish
  Relief pitcher Hideki Okajima failed his physical with the New York Yankees on Friday and likely won't be joining the team going forward, according to David Waldstein of the New York Times. The Yankees signed Okajima to a minor league deal earlier in the offseason but it appears that his stint with the Yankees will be short lived.
• A.J. Burnett Trade Completed, Pending Physicals And Approval From MLB - MLB Daily Dish
  The deal is complete, pending physicals and approval from the commissioner's office, according to Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The Pirates will be paying $5 million in 2012 and $8 million in 2013 for Burnett's services, for a total commitment of $13 million, as Kovacevic adds.
• Yankees, Clay Rapada Agree to Minor League Deal - MLB Daily Dish
  The New York Yankees have signed left-hander Clay Rapada to a minor league deal according to Bryan Hoch of mlb.com. The deal follows Hideki Okajima's failed physical, voiding his contract with the Yankees:
• Philadelphia Phillies, Kyle Kendrick Agree To Two-Year Deal - MLB Daily Dish
  The Philadelphia Phillies and right-handed pitcher Kyle Kendrick have agreed to a two-year deal worth $7.5 million, the club announced today via Twitter. In case you forgot, the Phillies and Kendrick avoided salary arbitration with the righty when they signed him to a one-year, $3.6 million deal in January, as our very own Satchel Price wrote.
• New York Yankees, Raul Ibanez Agree To Terms - MLB Daily Dish
  Yesterday, we learned that the New York Yankees and Free Agent Outfielder Raul Ibanez extensively and were waiting for the AJ Burnett trade to be made official. This morning, Joel Sherman of the New York Post as well as ESPN's Buster Olney are reporting that the deal is in place for a $1.1 million plus incentives agreement pending an Ibanez physical.
