The Los Angeles Dodgers have claimed Matt Angle off of waivers from the Baltimore Orioles, according to Steve Melewski of MASNsports.com. The Dodgers are confirming the news and adding that Rubby De La Rosa was moved to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Angle, who was designated for assignment as the corresponding move to the Luis Ayala addition in Baltimore a couple weeks ago.
Angle, 26, only has one season as a pro. He hit a miserable .177 / .293 / .266 in 31 games and almost 100 plate appearances, with 14 hits, 4 of which were doubles. If you're a Dodgers fan, or a masochist (not necessarily mutually exclusive), note that Angle was worth "0.2" Wins Above Replacement last season according to b-ref, which is another way of saying he's a replacement player:
