Ryan Zimmerman, Nationals Close to Extension?

Yesterday we found out that Ryan Zimmerman's agent Brodie Van Wagenen was in Washington Nationals camp to talk to Nats GM Mike Rizzo about a possible extension for his client, with the deadline set for some time tomorrow.

Jon Heyman from CBS Sports says that Zimmerman is not asking for "Tulowitzki money." If it gets done, it will be in the $18 million range. Tim Kurkjian from ESPN tweeted this morning that the two sides were close to coming to an agreement.

Adam Kilgore from the Washington Post tweets that the key to the deal is the no trade clause. Zimmerman is willing to take a team friendly deal as long as he gets that, as he wants to play in Washington.

William Ladson says that Zimmerman is not close to an extension, and his agent and Mike Rizzo need to talk more later on today. This deal looks like it is very close, and it should get done by tomorrow.
