According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Chicago Cubs have officially announced their five year major league deal with lefty Gerardo Concepcion. They signed the Cuban pitcher about a month ago, and it was reported that the contract was worth $7M guaranteed, with another $1M or so in incentives.
Concepcion, 20, will report to minor league camp with the Cubs. The southpaw defected last June, and is widely considered to possess great upside.
