• Bryan Doligan from ESPN Dallas Radio talked to Rangers assistant GM Thad Levine this morning. He spoke about how Neal Cotts can take over for Darren Oliver as a lefty reliever, Martin Perez could be in the MLB very soon and Josh Hamilton will remain in left field.
• Mike Bauman from MLB.com says that he believes the Rangers rotation will be just as solid without CJ Wilson, and that it is a top pitching staff in baseball.
• Master Tesfatsion from ESPN Dallas writes that Michael Young will play the same role in 2013 that he did in 2012, playing first base and DH and also being a utility infielder.
• Drew Davison from the Star-Telegram writes that free agent acquisition Brad Hawpe saw his first action of the spring and with the Rangers, who had three plate appearances against the Kansas City Royals.
