Excuse me, they what? MLBDD Week 10 Review

Welcome back to another week of getting-ever-closer to actual, real-life, regular season baseball. We're well into spring training at this point and you can expect to start seeing injuries, minor league notes as rosters are adjusted, and perhaps a few remaining free agent moves.

With the numerous disparate threads of information you have to consume every week to stay connected to your favorite sport, it's easy to miss something. So let's review what happened over the past week, shall we? Here's our week 10 in review, starting with the oldest news first:

• Angels Hunting for Lefty Relievers? - MLB Daily Dish
  The Los Angeles Angels are on the hunt for a left-handed reliever, according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com.
• Zack Greinke Plans to Hire Agent - MLB Daily Dish
  Jim Bowden from ESPN says that Milwaukee Brewers right handed pitcher Zack Greinke plans to hire an agent at some point. He has been without an agent after leaving CAA a few months ago.
• Rivera Could Announce His Future Before All Star Game - MLB Daily Dish
  Kevin Kernan from the New York Post says that New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera told him that he might announce his future before the all star break. Rivera has told reporters this off season that he already knows if he will retire or not after this season.

• Andrew McCutchen Notes: Stark, Heyman, Biertempfel - MLB Daily Dish
  The Pittsburgh Pirates were a surprise last season, do they look to jump into contention in 2012? Here are some notes on the Andrew McCutchen extension, and what everybody is saying about the center fielder.
• Neil Walker, Pirates Extension Will Wait - MLB Daily Dish
  Jon Heyman from CBS Sports tweets that the Pittsburgh Pirates will not look to immediately extend second baseman Neil Walker.
• Alex Gordon Rumors: Contract Extension Negotiations in Early Stages - MLB Daily Dish
  According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Kansas City Royals are still in the early stages of negotiations with outfielder Alex Gordon regarding a contract extension. However, things are "expected to intensify later this spring," Rosenthal writes.
• Marlins Have Discussed Extension For Giancarlo Stanton - MLB Daily Dish
  Not too long after the Pittsburgh Pirates agreed to a six-year contract extension with outfielder Andrew McCutchen, ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Miami Marlins have talked about presenting their own young star outfielder, Giancarlo Stanton with a contract offer that includes a "big, crooked number."
• Minnesota Twins Extend Glen Perkins - MLB Daily Dish
  The Minnesota Twins have agreed to a three-year, $10.3 million contract extension with pitcher Glen Perkins, as the team announced on Thursday. Perkins is set to make $1.55 million in 2012 as part of his previous contract, and the extension will be added on to that deal.
• Damon Unlikely to Sign with Orioles - MLB Daily Dish
  Roch Kubatko from MASN Sports says that Johnny Damon signing with the Baltimore Orioles looks extremely unlikely.
• Roy Oswalt Willing to Sell Soul, Play Anywhere - MLB Daily Dish
  International man of mystery, blatant market provocateur, and regional pandering Roy Oswalt is now willing to play anywhere, according to Jerry Crasnick. Until recently, he had professed a need to stay close to his Mississippi home, but Crasnick suggests that need won't be a requisite once Oswalt's kids are out of school.
• Zach Greinke Will Wait Until Season End to Hire Agent - MLB Daily Dish
  Hold onto your hats, Brewers fans. Zack Greinke is now saying that he will wait until the end of the season to hire an agent, according to Ken Rosenthal. This follows a report from yesterday in which Jim Bowden said Greinke will hire an agent at some point.
• Cole Hamels Rumors: No Deadline for Contract Extension - MLB Daily Dish
  Earlier today, we heard speculation that Phillies southpaw Cole Hamels could make upwards of $150M if he hits the open market this fall. Philadelphia, however, seems intent on locking him up, and unlike a lot of stars, Hamels isn't setting a deadline for a possible deal. His agent John Boggs is in camp, and will reportedly be having contract discussions with the club. There's hope within the organization that a deal will get done.
• Michael Bourn, Atlanta Braves Extension Not Likely - MLB Daily Dish
  One potential extension candidate for the Atlanta Braves is center fielder Michael Bourn, but if there are any signs it will happen, we're not seeing them yet...
• Edwin Jackson Did Not Receive Interest from Cardinals - MLB Daily Dish
  Rick Hummel from the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that Edwin Jackson did not receive any off season interest from the St. Louis Cardinals, the team with which he spent the entire 2011 season with and won the World Series.
• Mets Looking to Trade D.J. Carrasco - MLB Daily Dish
  The New York Mets are attempting to shop righty reliever D.J. Carrasco to make room in their bullpen for the up-and-coming Bobby Parnell, according to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News.
• Rays Not Interested in Ivan Rodriguez - MLB Daily Dish
  Buster Olney from ESPN reports via tweet that the Tampa Bay Rays are not pursuing free agent catcher Ivan Rodriguez. The Rays are interested in acquiring a catcher to back up Jose Molina after trading John Jaso to Seattle this off season.
• Cubs Announce Gerardo Concepcion Signing - MLB Daily Dish
  According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Chicago Cubs have officially announced their five year major league deal with lefty Gerardo Concepcion. They signed the Cuban pitcher about a month ago, and it was reported that the contract was worth $7M guaranteed, with another $1M or so in incentives.
