Welcome back to another week of getting-ever-closer to actual, real-life, regular season baseball. We're well into spring training at this point and you can expect to start seeing injuries, minor league notes as rosters are adjusted, and perhaps a few remaining free agent moves.

The Minnesota Twins have agreed to a three-year, $10.3 million contract extension with pitcher Glen Perkins, as the team announced on Thursday. Perkins is set to make $1.55 million in 2012 as part of his previous contract, and the extension will be added on to that deal. -

Buster Olney from ESPN reports via tweet that the Tampa Bay Rays are not pursuing free agent catcher Ivan Rodriguez. The Rays are interested in acquiring a catcher to back up Jose Molina after trading John Jaso to Seattle this off season. -
Cubs Announce Gerardo Concepcion Signing - MLB Daily Dish
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Chicago Cubs have officially announced their five year major league deal with lefty Gerardo Concepcion. They signed the Cuban pitcher about a month ago, and it was reported that the contract was worth $7M guaranteed, with another $1M or so in incentives.
