This is yet another obstacle for Jimenez to overcome, with injuries causing considerable missed time over the past few years. The Mariners 40-man now stands at 37 as they head to Japan.
- The Chicago Cubs have announced that Andy Sonnanstine has been outrighted to Triple-A Iowa, per Carrie Muskat. The 40-man is now at 47.
