We learned earlier today that Twins starter Scott Baker will miss the entire 2012 season with an elbow injury, but his isn't the only setback of the day.
Broken fingers, sore elbows, baseballs off the noggin, yet another Tommy John surgery and now shingles. We're just into week two of the season and injuries are already getting creative.

Buster Posey is out of the lineup today because he came down with shingles after Sunday's game. Painful blisters on his chest and shoulder have led to sleep difficulty. He may be available to pinch hit tonight. -

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jeremy Hellickson was doing a side bullpen session Wednesday at Comerica Park while the Tigers were taking batting practice, and he was struck in the head by a batted ball.
Los Angeles Angels reliever Michael Kohn will have Tommy John surgery Thursday in Florida. He will miss at least twelve months.
