The Pittsburgh Pirates put right-handed pitcher Jeff Karstens on the 15-day Disabled List for right shoulder inflammation and have recalled righty Brad Lincoln from Triple-A Indy, according to Rob Biertempfel. Karstens left yesterday's game after one inning.

Karstens, a 29 year-old 7-year vet, has been with the Pirates since 2008 and came to the team via the Yankees as a piece of the Ohlendorf/Nady trade. Through three games, Karstens holds a 4.50 ERA, in line with his career 4.52 mark.
Brad Lincoln, 26, started 8 and 9 games over the past two seasons for the Pirates and earned a 5.74 career ERA over those 100 innings. Lincoln was drafted 4th overall in the 2006 amateur draft, but has only been able to get a couple cracks at the rotation.
