  Athletics recall Jarrod Parker and select Jim Miller; Fautino De Los Santos optioned to Sacramento; Rich Thompson designated for assignment.
• Royals release Eric Cantrell | Twitter @eddymk
  Royals release righty Eric Cantrell (7th round pick, ’10) after he allows 13 baserunners through 4 1/3 for Low-A Kane County this year. He holds a career 5.43 ERA.

• Orioles release several minor league pitchers | Twitter @eddymk
  The Orioles release a quartet of veteran minor league arms: southpaws Chris George & Ryan Edell & right-handers Wynn Pelzer and Ross Wolf.
