Opening Day has arrived! Sort of!

While the season technically began last week, tonight is the first match-up we can all enjoy without effectively destroying our circadian rhythms or struggling with MLB's always-confusing black-out policy.

It also marks the debut of Marlins Park, a $634 million cornucopia of bright colors and questionable artistic choices. As Jose Reyes and Ozzie Guillen make their Marlins debuts and the Cardinals begin the era of trying to carry on without Albert Pujols, there are two questions on everyone's mind this evening:

1) Who will be the first to activate the home run monstrosity in center field?

2) Once activated, how many seizures will it cause?

In all seriousness, we are just excited that baseball is officially back and we hope you are too. We plan on being here sharing our thoughts and clever anecdotes on the game and everything else that's been happening in the baseball world today, so please join us!

This is just the first of many MLB Daily Dish GameThreads for the 2012 season, so we hope you enjoy it.

Tonight's starters: Josh Johnson (MIA) v. Kyle Lohse (STL)

Start time: 7:00pm EST on ESPN
