The Colorado Rockies have optioned right-handed pitcher Jhoulys Chacin to Triple-A, the team announced today via their official Twitter account. Chacin, 24, has made five starts for the Rockies this season, allowing 20 runs across 24.2 innings -- all of them earned.
The team tweeted that it will make a corresponding roster move before Friday's game. Troy Renck of the Denver Post tweets that Alex White, Christian Friedrich, and Tyler Chatwood are candidates to take his spot in the rotation.
