As first reported by Eric Stephen of True Blue LA, and later confirmed by the Los Angeles Dodgers via Twitter, the Dodgers have designated right-handed pitcher Mike MacDougal for assignment. Additionally, the team announced that Major League Baseball has reinstated right-handed pitcher Ronald Belisario from the Restricted List.

MacDougal, 35, allowed nine runs across 5.2 innings this season. As Stephen notes on Twitter, the Dodgers 40-man roster is at 39 players, which leaves room for Bobby Abreu. The Dodgers are close to a contract agreement with Abreu.
