The San Francisco Giants have signed first round draft pick Chris Stratton for $1.85 million, according to the MLB Draft Twitter feed.

The 22-year-old right-hander out of Mississippi State's nearly $2 million bonus is in line with the assigned value for his draft slot.

Stratton broke out as a prospect early in the season following a 17-strikeout performance at Louisiana State, according to Baseball America, and his stock only rose from there. The 6' 3" right-hander went 11-2 on the season with a 2.38 ERA, striking out 127 batters in 109 2/3 innings and holding the opposition to a .211 batting average.

The 20th overall pick in the draft, Stratton is the 14th first round pick of last week's draft to strike a deal with a big league club.
