While one Seattle Mariners official has said the team is "wide open" on potential trades this summer, rival clubs tell Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports that the club has a list of untouchable players, including Felix Hernandez, Dustin Ackley, Kyle Seager, Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen, James Paxton and Nick Franklin.

While one Mariners official says the team is "wide open" on potential deals, rival clubs report that the M’s have made a long list of players untouchable in trades.

The list includes right-hander Felix Hernandez, second baseman Dustin Ackley and third baseman Kyle Seager, plus the Mariners’ four top prospects, according to Baseball America - right-hander Taijuan Walker, left-handers Danny Hultzen and James Paxton and shortstop Nick Franklin.

Rosenthal adds that the Mariners reluctance to include the players listed above in trades is understandable, but it will likely keep the team from making a significant move this summer.

Rosenthal uses a potential trade for Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton as an example of a player the team wouldn’t be able to acquire without parting with some of their top talent. The team would also not be able to receive a significant return if it decides to sell without parting ways with an established commodity such as Hernandez.
