UPDATE - Along with their search for rotation upgrades, the Braves are also seeking bullpen help, reports Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports:
#Braves looking at bullpen upgrades, in addition to rotation, source says. (Jonny Venters on DL.)

11:30 AM EDT - Other teams are saying the Atlanta Braves are only looking for a "top-of-the-rotation" type of pitcher, reports Jayson Stark of ESPN:
Other teams say #Braves only looking for a "top-of-the-rotation guy." So be dubious of rumors linking them with Liriano, Vargas, etc.

Stark adds that fans should be "dubious" of reports that are tying the Braves to Minnesota Twins left-hander Francisco Liriano and Seattle Mariners southpaw Jason Vargas.
Earlier this month, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reported the Braves had "definite" interest in Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Zack Greinke.
Despite these reports, David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said Atlanta would only be interested in Greinke if they had an extension in place closer to $15 million per year.
As far as available front-line starting pitchers go, the current list seems to include Greinke, Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels, Chicago Cubs right-hander Matt Garza, and Tampa Bay Rays right-hander James Shields, who recently became available according to reports.
The Braves have been tied to starting pitching since they lost Brandon Beachy to injury. Atlanta was able to add veteran Ben Sheets, but they are apparently still in the market for impact starters.

Which front-line starter would best suit the Braves?
