In a corresponding roster move, the Orioles have recalled left-hander Zach Britton from the DL. Britton will start tonight’s game against the Minnesota Twins.
Andino sustained his injury Sunday during the Orioles contest against the Detroit Tigers. He had hit at a clip of .230/.292/.325 for the Orioles this season.
Britton will be making his season debut for Baltimore tonight against, as he missed the start of the year with a shoulder injury. The 24-year-old started 10 games in the minors prior to being recalled by the Orioles, maintaining an ERA and WHIP of 3.47 and 1.223.
Last season, Britton posted an ERA and WHIP of 4.61 and 1.451 over 28 starts in his rookie campaign for the O's.
