The 25-year-old Hamburger, who began the year with Texas, will be donning a jersey for his third different organization this year. The righty hasn't appeared in a major league game since getting a cup of coffee last season.
Hamburger has posted a 6.75 ERA across 57.1 innings of work for a pair of Pacific Coast League teams over 26 appearances this season. He's striking out 7.5 batters per 9 innings, but walking 3.8 over the same pace.
