The Washington Nationals reinstated Xavier Nady from the 15-Day disabled list and officially designated him for assignment immediately after, the team announced today (via Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post).
The Nats officially DFA'd Xavier Nady. Expected move after last night.

Even though he had been dealing with right wrist tendinitis for virtually the whole season, it became too big of an issue and ultimately caused Nady to be placed on the 15-day DL nearly a month ago. He was rehabbing from the injury recently, before being reinstated off the DL.
In 102 at-bats this season, Nady hit just .157/.211/.274 with three home runs over 40 games. Obviously, that isn't going to cut it at the big league level. But, he should be able to find a team to pick him up for the remainder of the season as a bat off the bench against southpaws.
