The Milwaukee Brewers seem "sure to sell" following being swept this weekend by the Cincinnati Reds, and several players figure to be available, including Francisco Rodriguez, Aramis Ramirez, Zack Greinke, Corey Hart and Randy Wolf, reports Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com:
The Brewers seem sure to sell after they were swept over the weekend in Cincinnati to fall 10 1/2 games behind the first-place Reds. Players like Francisco Rodriguez and Aramis Ramirez and Corey Hart and Randy Wolf could be available. Greinke should be too.
After the weekend, the Brewers find themselves with an overall record of 44-50, good for fourth place in the National League Central and 10 ½ games behind the division-leading Reds.
On top of late-inning arms such as Rodriguez and John Axford, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reported this morning that Milwaukee relievers Manny Parra and Kameron Loe have also drawn interest:
The Brewers don’t have a particularly good bullpen, ranking 12th in the NL in ERA, but Axford and K-Rod aren’t their only relievers drawing interest. Teams also like lefty Manny Parra and right-handed sinker-baller Kameron Loe.
