2:30 PM EDT - The Los Angeles Dodgers are continuing to hold trade discussions with the Chicago Cubs in the hopes of acquiring right-hander Ryan Dempster, reports Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports.
Meantime, the Cubs-Dodgers talks regarding Dempster trundle along. They're still at it...

Talks have been on and off between the two clubs for the past week. While the Dodgers have made it known that they will not part with top prospect Allen Webster for the 35-year-old Dempster, they are still discussing the inclusion of veteran outfielder Alfonso Soriano in a deal, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Dempster holds complete 10/5 rights, which means he has final say in approving a trade, and the Dodgers are believed to be right-hander's first choice as a trade partner.
