Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports wrote last night that the D'Backs were working on a deal that would send young outfielder Justin Upton and one of Arizona's bevy of pitching prospects to a team in exchange for an ace starter.
While Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez's names were speculated, the identity of the pitcher involved was unknown, and a deal for another pitcher could still be in play.
While Upton may be staying put, shortstop Stephen Drew is very likely to be traded today:
