The 6' 6", 200-pound right-hander out of Olympia HS in Orlando, Florida, is the last of the 29 sandwich picks to agree to terms with his parent club. His $2 million deal makes him just the sixth player drafted this year to sign for more than $1 million over his recommended slot value.
The young righty, who had committed to the University of Miami, has a fastball that tops out in the low-90s.
The Padres have now agreed to terms with all of their draft picks in the first ten rounds, including first-rounder Max Fried and their other two supplemental-round picks, Zach Eflin and Travis Jankowski.
