The New York Mets have recalled right-hander Pedro Beato from Triple-A, reports Adam Rubin of ESPN.

To make room on their roster for Beato, the Mets optioned right-hander Jeremy Hafner to Triple-A.
Beato, 25, has spent most of the season with the Mets’ Triple-A affiliate. Over his 24 innings with Buffalo, the right-hander maintained an ERA and WHIP of 1.12 and 1.000 with 6.8 SO/9 and 3.4 BB/9.
Beato was with the Mets for three games this season, but didn’t appear in any of them. He made his major league debut with the club last season, posting an ERA and WHIP of 4.30 and 1.284 over his 60 appearances spanning 67 innings.
Hafner has appeared in 11 games, including three starts, for the Mets this season. The 26-year-old has maintained an ERA and WHIP of 5.64 and 1.319 with 5.0 SO/9 and 0.6 BB/9.
