The Kansas City Royals made a series of roster moves yesterday to following their loss to the Detroit Tigers, the team has announced.

The long-awaited return of 26-year-old Lorenzo Cain, who has missed all but the first five games of the season recovering from hip and groin injuries, is welcome news for Royals fans. Cain's replacement in center field, Jarrod Dyson, has hit just .245/.304/.303 in 63 games.

Chris Getz, returning from a strain in his lower left leg, will likely resume splitting time at second base with Yuniesky Betancourt.

Why haven't the Royals promoted top prospect Wil Myers yet?

Nathan Adcock, 24, who was called up last Wednesday, pitched just one inning for the club in his second big league stint of the season. The right-hander owns a 2.67 ERA in 30 2/3 innings on the year. Irving Falu had three hits in ten at-bats since his promotion in late June and is hitting .321/.333/.434 in 53 at-bats on the year.
