The lineups have been announced for Major League Baseball’s 2012 All-Star game. As the games are being played in an American League ballpark, Kansas City Royals’ Kauffman Stadium, they include designated hitters. We've taken a look at the National League lineup; below is a round-up of who made the starting lineup in the AL.

Here’s your American League starting lineup:

SS – Derek Jeter, New York Yankees

2B – Robinson Cano, New York Yankees

LF – Josh Hamilton, Texas Rangers

RF – Jose Bautista, Toronto Blue Jays

1B – Prince Fielder, Detroit Tigers

3B – Adrian Beltre, Texas Rangers

DH – David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox

C – Mike Napoli, Texas Rangers

CF – Curtis Granderson, New York Yankees

SP – Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers

The Yankees and Rangers, who are currently tied for the major league-lead in wins at 52, each sent a trio of starters to this year’s mid-summer classic. The Tigers sent a pair, in Verlander and Fielder, while the American League East makes up half of the 10 starters.
