The Minnesota Twins will recall right-hander Liam Hendriks from Triple-A to start Wednesday’s contest against the Oakland Athletics:

Hendriks has spent several stints with the Twins already this season, starting eight games for the club. Over his thirty-eight and one-third innings of work, the 23-year-old has maintained an ERA of 7.04 with 5.4 SO/9 and 2.3 BB/9.
Hendriks last appeared for the Twins on July 2, when he surrendered four runs on six hits and four walks with one strikeout over four innings. He posted mediocre numbers for Minnesota in June, maintaining an ERA of 4.41 over three starts.
Making his major league debut with the Twins last season, Hendriks finished 2011 with an ERA of 6.17 over four starts. This season he’s spent a majority of the year with the club’s Triple-A affiliate, where he’s maintained an ERA of 2.20 over sixteen starts.
