The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired outfielder Ben Francisco from the Houston Astros in exchange for a player to be named later, the Astros have announced (via Twitter).

According to Roger Mooney of The Tampa Tribune, Francisco will join the Rays tomorrow in Toronto once the rosters expand and allow clubs to use players from their respective 40-man rosters. Tampa will also make a corresponding roster move tonight.

The 30-year-old Francisco entered the day with a triple slash line of .244/.292/.370 in 144 plate appearances this season. He's owed the remainder of his $1.537 million contract this season and is arbitration eligible at season's end.
