The Seattle Mariners called up pitcher Erasmo Ramirez and outfielder Carlos Peguero from AAA as reported by Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times. The additions were made possible because rosters expanded, allowing more room for call-ups.

Ramirez, 22, last pitched for the Mariners on June 30, 2012 as a starting pitcher. He began his career with the big club as a reliever before transitioning into a starter role. In his 30.2 IPs, Ramirez pitched to a 3.82 ERA, with 25 strike outs and only 7 walks. His highlight start of the year, against Oakland on June 25, was an 8-inning, 10 K gem. This year in AAA, over 77.1 IPs, he posted a 3.72 ERA and a 6.75 K/9 with just a 2.09 BB/9.
Carlos Peguero, 25, last played on June 30, 2012 as well with less impact. Peguero was hitting .285, 21 HRs, 54 RBIs over 76 games and 322 plate appearances.
