Current Texas Rangers outfielder and free agent-to-be Josh Hamilton is poised to become one of the winter’s top targets, and one club that could pursue the 2010 American League MVP is the San Francisco Giants, reports Buster Olney of ESPN:
Asked some execs this week where they think Josh Hamilton will land in 2013 (and beyond) and one NL official put in a strong vote for SFG.

In response to Olney’s tweet, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle said any deal Hamilton signs with the Giants would have to have a high annual average salary and would also need to be "very short-term."
Questions surround Hamilton’s next contract due to his off-the-field and injury issues not to mention his immense talent when he is on the diamond. The 31-year-old has hit .304/.364/.551 over his six-year career.
