Baker was traded to the Braves on Aug. 31 after he was designated for assignment by the Tigers. Detroit had acquired the 31-year-old earlier that month for a pair of PTBNL. He’s gone on to collect only one hit over nine at-bats for the Braves.
Ross was selected in the 18th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Braves. The 23-year-old appeared in 25 games, including 21 starts, for Atlanta’s low-A affiliate this season. Over 131 innings, the right-hander has maintained an ERA of 4.60 with 7.3 strikeouts per nine innings and 2.7 walks per nine innings.
