#Angels reinstate OF Peter Bourjos from DL ... Will be available today vs.#Athletics.
Bourjos had been on the Angels’ DL since the middle of August due to a wrist injury. He was available for last night’s contest against the Oakland Athletics, but didn’t make an appearance.
This continues his recent trend of limited at-bats with LA. Considering the Angels’ crowded and talented outfield, which includes Mike Trout, Torii Hunter and Mark Trumbo, Bourjos only registered five at-bats over the month of August prior to hitting the shelf with the wrist injury.
On the season, Bourjos has only mustered a line of .227/.287/.325 with seven doubles and three home runs over 163 at-bats this season. However, the 25-year-old hit .271/.327/.438 with twenty-six doubles, eleven triples and twelve home runs as a regular for the Angels last season.
