With a little under two months to go until the 2013 World Baseball Classic commences, Team USA has announced their provisional roster for the tournament.
The now 27-man roster includes players young and old from 19 different MLB clubs, with the Twins, Brewers, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Marlins, Braves, and Giants all boasting two Team USA representatives.
There is still one open spot on the roster for a starting pitcher, which must be filled by February 20. Justin Verlander is thought to be the favorite for the spot, but his participation hinges on how he feels once spring training starts.
