The Rockies continue to target starting pitching, and they are eyeing Carl Pavano, Derek Lowe and Brandon Webb.

Even after adding free agent right-hander Chris Volstad, the Colorado Rockies continue to be in the market for a starting pitcher, and their list of targets includes Carl Pavano, Derek Lowe and Brandon Webb, according to Troy Renck of The Denver Post.

Renck adds that the Rockies are in need of significant pitching depth to help cover for injuries to several of their regular starters. Colorado was said to be "aggressively pursuing" Pavano and Lowe earlier this week, while Webb is now also being tied to the club.

Lowe is a groundball pitcher that has experienced success at Coors Field. He pitched well out of the New York Yankees' bullpen last season, but the 39-year-old would prefer to return to a starting role in 2013.

Pavano missed most of 2012 due to injury, but prior to that he registered at least 32 starts per season from 2009-11. Webb hasn't appeared at the major league level since 2009, as he's been battling multiple injuries.
