ORLANDO-- After being non-tendered by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last week, right-handed pitcher Jerome Williams is expected to find a new home very soon. According to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, Williams is currently in active talks with six teams, and will probably be making a decision within the next two days. While the teams are not yet known, the source indicates that Williams has multiple offers on the table, and that he is in talks with four American League teams and two National League teams.
All six teams are looking at Williams as a starter, which he has expressed as his preference after starting 25 games for the Angels in 2013. Williams' representatives from Full Circle Sports Management will try to work out a deal for the 32-year old in Orlando.
In 37 games (25 starts) for the Angels in 2013, Williams was 9-10 with a 4.57 ERA. He is looking to make 30+ starts next season.
