Matt Kemp, David Ortiz, Joey Votto get animated on The Cleveland Show

I've gotta be honest here, I had no idea that The Cleveland Show was still on the air... Wait, does that mean American Dad is still around too? Holy hell, that's a whole lot of ripping off of the Simpsons.

Apparently this Sunday's baseball-themed episode of The Cleveland Show features voice cameos from five MLB players: David Ortiz, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Jimmy Rollins, and Joey Votto.

The episode's premise:

"The Browns pack their bags and move to Los Angeles, where Cleveland pursues his life-long dream of becoming a major league baseball scout.

"But when he receives a cold welcome from star players Matt Kemp and Andre Either (guest-voicing as themselves) and he unsuccessfully recruits David Ortiz, Jimmy Rollins and Joey Votto (guest-voicing as themselves), he winds up longing for the simple life in Stoolbend."

Stoolbend? Really?

Well, at least he's not trying to replicate "Homer at the Bat." If nothing else, I hope there are a few pot shots taken at Trouble With The Curve.

If you're interested, it's airing at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT this Sunday on the channel that willingly employs Tim McCarver.
