Here's a wrap of today's minor moves in the AL.

A's claim Harris, DFA Stinson

The Oakland Athletics have claimed right-hander Will Harris off waivers from the Colorado Rockies, the team has announced. To make room on their roster for Harris, the A's designated right-hander Josh Stinson for assignment.

Harris made his major league debut last season, appearing in 20 games for the Rockies while posting an ERA of 8.15 over 17 2/3 innings. The 28-year-old owns a career ERA of 2.66 with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3.99 over parts of six seasons in the minors.

Stinson's appeared in 20 games for the New York Mets over the past two seasons, maintaining an ERA of 4.43 over 22 1/3 innings. The A's selected him off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers last week.

Tribe claims Whitenack

The Cleveland Indians have claimed right-hander Robert Whitenack from the Chicago Cubs, the team has announced. Whitenack -- who owns a career ERA of 4.13 over four seasons in the minors -- has been transfered to Double-A.

Detroit claims Reed

The Detroit Tigers claimed right-hander Evan Reed off waivers from the Miami Marlins, the team has announced. Miami designated Reed for assignment Sunday. The 27-year-old has maintained an ERA of 4.09 over six seasons in the minors.
