The San Francisco Giants have acquired right-handed pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations, according to Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle. Although Moscoso has been pitching for the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, Schulman says that he will join the Giants' major league club on Saturday.

Moscoso, who the Cubs claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays at the end of March, is 7-5 with a 3.93 ERA, 9.0 K/9, and 4.5 BB/9 in 17 starts for Triple-A Iowa. The 29-year old heads to his fifth organization in the last twelve months after being claimed off waivers three times over the offseason.
In four major league seasons with the Rangers (2009-2010), Athletics (2011) and Rockies (2012), Moscoso is 11-12 with a 4.16 ERA in 57 career appearances (24 starts). He will join the Giants' stockpile of back-of-the-rotation options, according to Schulman.
