The San Francisco Giants have agreed to sign Mark Teahen to a minor league contract, according to a baseball source. Teahen did not receive an invitation to major league spring training, but he will head to minor league camp with the Giants.

Teahen, 32, spent last year with the Diamondbacks and Rangers' Triple-A affiliates before signing with the York Revolution of the Atlantic League. He hit .251 with 6 HR and 37 RBI in 110 games split between all three teams.

In parts of seven major league seasons with the Royals (2005-2009), White Sox (2010-2011) and Blue Jays (2011), Teahen is a lifetime .264 hitter with 67 HR and 332 RBI. He will look to get back to the major leagues for the first time since 2011.
