Mariners trade rumors: Seattle on the verge of making a deal?

After the Athletics and Angels struck early in the trade market by making deals over the weekend, word around the league is that the Mariners could be moving closer to making a move. This is just my speculation here -- but pursuits of Rays' trade targets David Price and Ben Zobrist would make sense for the M's, who currently sit eight games behind the AL West-leading Athletics and two games ahead of the Blue Jays for the second AL wild-card spot. Tampa has been known to be looking for bullpen help, so they might line up with the Mariners on a deal smaller than one that could include Price or Zobrist.
