Good morning baseball fans. You had the opportunity to watch some baseball last night, as the Mets were able to top the Royals 9-3 in game three of the World Series. Regardless of what happened Friday night, New York announced Steven Matz would be its starter for game four.

The Game 4 start will be the ninth major league start of Matz's career. He had a 2.27 ERA and 3.61 FIP in six regular season starts for the Mets. He's pitched 9.2 innings over two postseason starts, and he has a 3.72 ERA and 2.72 FIP over that span.

It was unlikely Matt Harvey would be asked to pitch on short rest since there his innings limit has been a topic of conversation of late.

With Dave Dombrowski now in charge, the Red Sox are more open to moving top prospects in exchange for front of the rotation starting pitchers.

In a minor deal, Pittsburgh claimed Jorge Rondon from the Orioles. Rondon was designated for assignment when the Orioles claimed Vancy Worley.

Los Angeles will reportedly interview Darin Erstad in the coming days. The former Angels outfielder could emerge as one of the favorites to manage the Dodgers.

Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris successfully underwent surgery and announced he is now "cancer free."

Ryan Landreth believes the Royals looked too sloppy in their most recent 9-3 loss to the Mets.

Losing his job with the Marlins might be the best thing that ever happens to Dan Jennings.

This Date in Baseball History: In 2005, former Red Sox GM Theo Epstein "eludes the media" outside of Fenway Park disguised in a gorilla suit.

Question of the Day: How many trick-or-treaters will dress up as Marlins Man tonight?
